000 km2. Il a une largeur maximale Est-Ouest de 180 km, Il est situ\u00e9 pr\u00e8s du tropique du Capricorne, enclav\u00e9 entre les Andes et l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c0 3500 m\u00e8tres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, la Puna de Atacama ou Altiplano est une r\u00e9gion g\u00e9ographique \u00e0 cheval sur le territoire Chilien, Bolivien et Argentin.\u00a0C&rsquo;est dans ce vaste territoire qu&rsquo;habitaient il y a 11 000 ans des chasseurs-cueilleurs et sculptures sur pierre qui ont donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 la brillante culture likanantay.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce d\u00e9sert est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le meilleur endroit au monde pour l&rsquo;observation astronomique en raison de sa faible n\u00e9bulosit\u00e9, de son air sec et de sa pollution lumineuse. Actuellement, il repr\u00e9sente 40% de l&rsquo;observation astronomique mondiale.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u2019est une histoire g\u00e9ologique de millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es qui se d\u00e9voile devant le visiteur curieux, un sans fin de lagunes, de salines et de montagnes, qui expose \u00e0 ciel ouvert les diff\u00e9rentes formations g\u00e9ologiques et l\u2019\u00e9rosion constante d\u2019un des territoires les plus embl\u00e9matiques du nord du Chili.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Lincancabur est l\u2019un des volcans extraordinaires de la r\u00e9gion et pilier de la culture locale.
