Andes sont s\u00e9par\u00e9es en deux parties : un haut plateau d&rsquo;origine tertiaire d&rsquo;une altitude moyenne de 4 000 m\u00e8tres, et un grand plateau d&rsquo;au moins 10 degr\u00e9s de latitude partag\u00e9 par quatre pays : l&rsquo;Argentine, la Bolivie, le Chili et le P\u00e9rou.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cette r\u00e9gion a \u00e9t\u00e9 habit\u00e9e depuis 5000 ans av. J.-C. par des tribus de chasseurs nomades dont l\u2019\u00e9volution a vu naitre vers 1500 AC la civilisation remarquable de Tiahuanaco, qui a perdure jusqu\u2019au premier mill\u00e9naire D.C., \u00e9tant l\u2019une des cultures les plus anciennes d\u2019Am\u00e9rique.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c0 l&rsquo;heure actuelle, sa population est majoritairement qu\u00e9chua ou aymara. Ils sont les descendants d&rsquo;une culture ancestrale qui a su apprivoiser le feu cultiver la pomme de terre et le quinoa sur un territoire des plus inhospitalier.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Au fil des si\u00e8cles, de nombreux bassins endor\u00e9iques r\u00e9partis dans l\u2019Altiplano ont donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 des lacs, des marais, des bofedales, des salines et des geysers qui sont aujourd\u2019hui des attractions touristiques notables.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0La flore locale est compos\u00e9e de diverses plantes adapt\u00e9es au climat sec d\u2019altitude, notamment dans la cuisine traditionnelle, l\u2019artisanat quant \u00e0 lui s\u2019exprime au travers de la construction.\u00a0Les visiteurs seront enchant\u00e9s par les flamants roses andins, les suris, les condors et les vicu\u00f1as.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les pays de l&rsquo;Altiplano ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger ces esp\u00e8ces en cr\u00e9ant des r\u00e9serves et des parcs nationaux, mais les menaces qui p\u00e8sent sur ces \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes extr\u00eamement fragiles se poursuivent et
