San Pedro is always the starting point of the adventures in Atacama. Here adventurers and hikers gather to embark on their journeys through the most arid desert in the world. In the pucará de Quitor amazes the defensive effort of the Atacameño peoples in front of the Spanish invader who finally conquered the square. The Valley of the Moon is a Sanctuary of Nature where the desert exhibits its best natural creations, whimsical colors and shapes. After getting to know Rio Salado and Rio Grande, typical Atacameños villages, you will arrive at the Mirador de Machuca to contemplate from there all the magnificence of Los Andes. Natural monument are the geysers of the Tatio, impressive display of natural forces. Eighty jets of boiling water rise up to ten meters filling the entire area with bright vapors in the sun.
