The last foothills of the Andes Mountain Range are the Andes Fueguinos and at the eastern end of these appear the Teeth of Navarino, a rocky set of fine needles similar to teeth that reach a thousand meters high on the backs of Puerto Williams. Being a remote and difficult to access territory, Navarino Island has kept its forests, mountains and lagoons without deterioration to the satisfaction of its visitors and holds the distinction of being a Biosphere Reserve. In this paradise of the hiker surrounding the Teeth of Navarino by Heritage Routes is a privilege that few can enjoy. For five days the turbals, the forests of phaceans, lagoons and snow-capped plumes will give the traveler the strong feeling of being in a pristine and wild world long lost in Chile, where only laborious beavers will witness his passage.
