Two weeks of incessant tour of remote and little-known places in Patagonia is what this circuit that starts at Cerro Castillo, symbol of this region, proposes. Puerto Rio Tranquilo will be the entrance to the Los Leones glacier, one of those born from the North Ice Field and moving southwest. Having crossed it, a not easy stretch awaits us, another challenge awaits us on the Nef glacier very close to the ice field. Descending the valley of the Nef River you reach the curious confluence of this with the great Baker River, which continue to run uneevered and whose enormous flow is seen in the jump, an unforgettable image. Far from there, several adventures by, as we approach the Roballos Pass on the border boundary we are already in the immense valley of Chacabuco, seat that was one of the first cattle ranches of Aysén at the beginning of the twentieth century and is now part of the Patagonia National Park recently formed.
